how to recover the os by using the windos cd

Can any tell me how to recover the windows os back to the normal environment when its boot file get curropted,by using the windows cd.

you could also try using the recovery console when using the windows installer cd but this is more of an advance method as you should be familiar with what files/data needs repairing. sometimes i do it by hitting repair when the installer detects a windows system already installed in the box so that fresh copies of system files are restored.

One of the methods i would use when doing technical support over the phone is a parallel install.
This method is only done when you want to backup your data and do a format reinstall.
essentially you install another copy of windows on the same partition giving you access to your files.
