Help with IIS PHPBB

Hey guys I am trying to setup a BB using PHPBB on a windows 2003 server using IIS 6.0 I installed mysql 4.1 and PHP 4.4.1. When I try to run the PHPBB install it comes up with: Warning: mysql_connect(): Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server, consider upgrading mysql client in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\forum\db\mysql4.php on line 48 :shock:

have you tried upgrading your MySQL server? i think there is already a version 5 out on the internet.
also you could check the file that was mentioned (mysql4.php) and locating line 48 and checking for anything unusual.
