SBS 2003 Exchange Web login will not work. was created by Bublitz
Installed 2003 SBS server. Right out of the box connecting via exchange through the web will not work. The first problem I found was the web site for exchange was pointing to to "company web". The defult web site added to IIS during the SBS 2003 install. So at the root I redirected the site to /exchange.
Now the normal login page appears when you type mail.domain.com
When I type in a VALID username and password it will not let me in. Ive messed with alot of permissions and directorys to try and get it to work. I just cant seem to get the user to login.

Thanks! I'm going to give this a try. I HATE SBS I dont seem to have problems when I install eveything my self from scratch. SBS also installed exchnage data on the C: drive! i have another partition with plenty of space. Is it hard to move everything to another drive in exchnage?

It's quite easy to move the Exchange Database and logs files. I've had to do it myself in the past. You just have to make sure you follow the instructions in this
link
carefully. Also if you have an Exchange-aware backup program, it would be advisable to do a backup first as this flushes the logs and gets your database up to date.
P.S. Nice link by jhun. Let us know how you get on Bublitz
