Active Directory was created by neo468
Hey guys,
Do you have any suggestions/reccomendations for creating/deleting a lot of accounts in active directory. For instance a group of 40 accounts need to be created tonight for tomorrow? With a template, and without a template. I just want to make sure I have mastered this area of adminstration.

You can use LDIF.EXE - have a look at
www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/wi...epbystep/adbulk.mspx
Alternatively here is a non-Microsoft tool:

I use scripts on my Network. after training classes come through I sometimes have up to 30 accounts to create.
Looking into Windows Script host.
www.microsoft.com/technet/scriptcenter/r...a/aug04/hey0823.mspx
this is a huge tool for me, i use scripts for user account creation, inventory and client configuration. After reading here, you can find lots of scripts on the net, usually you just need to modify them for your domain and they're good to go.

Exactly. I hate Microsoft. Linux/Unix for life, ya'll.
