changing mask win2K server was created by jca
Hi,
I want to free up more IPs and want to change the submask from 255.255.255.0 to 255.255.0.0
What will be the impact on a win2k (AD) domain controller with dhcp active, or will everything be fine after all the hosts in my new subnet (192.168.x.x)are changed to the new subnet.
Thx all!

You can change the server submask without any problems, but you will need to delete any scopes you have set up which use the old mask. To take advantage of the extra IP addresses simple setup up these scopes again, but with the new mask.
