ASSISTANCE NEEDED ON Gnome DESKTOP

HI PEOPLE I NEED SOME ASSISTANCE. I HAVE A FILE IN MY YAHOO MAIL WHICH I WOULD LIKE TO OPEN BUT ITS A MICROSOFT WORD DOCUMENT YET I AM USING SUSE LINUX WITH Gnome DESKTOP.
WHAT APPLICATION IN GNOME DESKTOP CAN I USE TO SO AS TO OPEN THIS DOCUMENT.

OpenOffice/StarOffice should do it.

What version of Suse are you using? The new OpenSuse 10 doesn't come with OpenOffice.org on the install CD. From the OpenSuse website ( opensuse.org/index.php/Bugs:most_annoying_bugs ):

OpenOffice.org is not included due to a Java dependency. Work is in progress to eleminate this dependency and bring OpenOffice.org into beta2.

If you are using OpenSuse 10, you'll have to install it on your own.
