Asterisk is a great open-source solution, but has always lacked to be user-friendly, and is a bit cumbersome (in my opinion) to configure since the user needs to edit a number of configuration files to get the system working.
Following the path of Asterisk, users are now able to obtain (free of charge) a product called 'Trixbox'. Trixbox is basically Asterisk wrapped around a great web GUI interface. It's logical structure is great and really easy to get use to. If your an Asterisk user, you'll surely come to appreciate Trixbox.
You view/download the product at www.trixbox.org .
Cheers,
