SuSE personal dev tools? was created by cybersorcerer
I installed SuSE 8.1 the other night (personal) just to have an easier distro to use other then freeBSD and slack. I noticed that it doesnt come with... any devoloper tools... why.. I have NO idea >.< and Ive come up with a problem that I cant access the internet because I need the ndis wrapper to set up my wifi interface and I cant compile it even if I did have because the damn thing doesnt have GCC or make! anyways I searched and searched for the dev tools on the SUSE ftp site and wasnt able to find anything. any links to sites that do would be greatly appreciated

The problem is that since 8.1 version (i think) with the introduction of the personal edition of suse linux, suse has decided not to include any development tools, you can use the professional version which has all the available tools or search the internet for anything that you need, specifically search for bin-utils and gcc rpms because even if you find the sources you won't be able to compile.
Hope i helped
