.IMA file of linux boot files using WinImage and and specify the path in nero boot disk,
under expert setting , options like floppy emulation, etc... were mentioned i didnt know
how to use these options so diabled expert setting, can any one help me in creating an
blank boot cd for linux redhat operating system. I was not succesfull in trying the process
as mentioned above. I know that the First CD of Linux os can help me to solve but I want
to Know how to Create an Blank Bootable Linux CD without any data.

Q2.

Consider this Scenario : I am having an 40 gb hard disk drive with four primary partions
primary 1 -> c: drive
primary 2-> d: drive
primary 3-> e: drive and
primary 4-> f: drive

I have Installed the following operating system in the corresponding primary partitions

c: windows 2000 professional
d: win 2003 server
e: none
f: none
Ext3: Redhat Linux (HDA 5)

later I want to Install Windows XP in C Drive, so When I format C Drive
boom ! everthing is gone

ntldr, lilo , grep vanishes, system does not boot, I go ahead and Insall Win XP on
C Drive using a bootable CD, now how do I get back my windows 2003 server
and linux os along with the newly installed Windows XP ???

Is there any method of taking backup of mbr and restoring
it along with newly installed Win XP ???

Q3.

Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Windows 2003 Server does not support
dual boot with Linux Redhat or Fedore Core X, Evertime when I need Linux I need to use Linux Bootable
Floppy and set boot through floppy in BIOS to Use Linux, really Hetic task and otherwise set the Option to
Hardisk in BIOS and Boot Normally, is there any solution ????????

Q4.

Somedays back when I began Learning Linux, I used to give a lin command from windows to
boot in Linux later i found it is a Batch file lin.bat had few command that warm boot the system
from windows environment and boots in Linux, I need the code (commands to boot in linux from windows environment).

Thankz

What happened to you is that Windows chooses not to see the Linux installation (technically because it can't read the ext3 partition), this is Microsoft's way of making life more difficult for people who choose to use an advanced operating system..

Your best bet is to rerun LILO, you can get a knoppix livecd or similar if you don't have a boot floppy...
