Need help In making a bootable iso image of a linux distro was created by Srijan
Hi All,
I am running Cent OS 5, kernel version 2.6.29.6. I need to make a bootable iso image, so that I can run it and install on a different machine.
So far I was able to make vmlinuz and initrd.img. I have tweaked the init script in the initrd.img and was able to boot from it. However, after the kernel and the initrd.img loads, it is not able to bring the root file system. As it is not able to find /sbin/init.
Can someone help me in the right direction? I have been struggling for a long time and still not able to come up with a solution.
If need be I shall be happy to provide the initrd.img and the vmlinuz files.
Thanks and Regards,
