Linux os just for server backup

Hello everyone,

I have an old Pentium II 400Mhz with 512 RAM and and a a 200 G0 hard disk and i am looking for an OS to just use it as a backup server to store all my archives mainly from win xp stations !! any advice ?? i want a linux system if possible only has what it needs for just backup so i guess it would be a base system + a samba server!! any idea..
I want somthing like windows Home server but free & if possible not too much system & hardware requirements
