Opinions on linux and what Distros to get...

I have looked elsewhere for my wireless setup going with another brand such as netgear wg311. That was more trouble also so I am returing that and getting another card

Tonight I am going to Try Knoppix and also try Suse CD Install.
Thanks y'all If its not too much trouble I would like some input and some opinions on this matter.

Hey Jim, isn't Knoppix a live distro?? I've just installed Suse Enteprise Desktop and it although it picked up the dual gigabit LAN cards on my Asus M2N Deluxe Mobo it didn't pick up my wireless card!! I'm not looking forward to getting this going
