I recently installed ubuntu 6 on my pc, and i would like to host my own website from my home network. Can i run apache off my ubuntu box, or should i run it a stand alone box.
Also i have Windows Server 2003 Web, should i consider a windows web server. I just a little confused on whats the best approach for host your own site.

Either approach could work, and nowadays it doesn't really matter what scripting technologies you will be using as PHP/perl can be hosted on Windows and ASP can be hosted on Linux. It normally boils down to preference of one OS over another due to familiarity or a preference for an OS-specific DB like MS SQL Server.
