Ubuntu Equivalent to Hyperterminal? was created by RedRanger
Greetings:
My name is red ranger. I am 16 years old in CCNA 3. I really dislike Windows, and until the longhorn distribution comes out, I'm going to stick with Linux. I use a particular distribution called Ubuntu 5.04: The Hoary Hedgehog. Now, does anybody know of an equivalent to HyperTerminal for the Linux operating systems? I need that program for consoling into routers and switches, and unfortunatly have dual boot for that purpose. Someone please help?

You could give minicom a try. Should just be an apt-get install for the package. Here's a man page for
minicom
.
