How do you share a hard drive? (it is external I don't think that matters) I can see the computer on the network, but I bought a new H.D. and need to be able to connect to that hard drive.
it is a Western Digital Drive 500 GB, and the OS is 10.4.7

Hey mate,
From what you are saying I understand that the hard drive is connected to the mac right? If so you should go to the privacy settings and enable the windows file sharing option.
After that you'll be able to browse through the folders and drives to which you have priviledges.
Cheers

the network is just 3 Macs that is all that need access. THe problem was that the external drive wasn't formatted properly, but now I am having problems making it a persistant share, how do I make it so that I can connect from an icon on the desktop of any of those computers to this external drive?
THank you!
