Interesting indeed. DiskStroyer!! ha, never knew there was such a kit . How about a hammer, then scratch the read surface with a knife, then a bucket of benzen on fire, then drive the car over it a few times just to make sure.

Hehe...Solo, do you know how to throw shot put? I guess it is time to start some rehersals. Jump into a speed boat with few hard disks which are about to be decommissioned. 30 minutes into the ocean will do, then try some throws with your hard disks. Just some training and determination and you will be throwing in the olympics.

I had to take some disks and stuff to a secure destroyer in a van once. They chuck them into a furnace and melt them down - I watched them do it.
On a slightly different note, microwaves are great for destroying CDs and DVDs, only a couple of seconds though or your microwave is toast
