It must be the way its wrapping the text. I have just tried to cut n paste it back and it stopped working again. I cannot see a way to post the .c file so i will put it on my webspace.

Right, this is tried and tested now. Its defo to do with the way its wrapping; anyhow, the code is here

I have tested going to this site, cutting and pasting it into a text file called enigma.c and then compiling. It does work, sorry for the messing about.
If you could give it one last try please ?

nah, no joy, i give up. if it has compiled on your end, then you must have been able to run it as well. try posting a screen shot of the output

Cannot understand this at all. I can cut n paste that into IE7 and it views the code ? The site doesn't require authentication for that folder unless its at your browser end not allowing the .c from being displayed ?
How do i post files to the forum then ?

nah no joy again. the server needs authentication before it lets me go into that page. do something, run it, take a screen shot, and then post the output on this forum. that would be great
