What was setting me back was the processor being only PII but then again there are 4. Could somebody explain to me how 4 processors would work. What are the advantages? I mean 4 proc. that will be a pretty sweet server for anything.

Does anybody know where I could find good deals on the hot swappable hard drives for that sever? Will be runnin RAID 5 SCSI I believe it is set at.

Zippy,

It depends on your applications.

Multi Processors are good for multi threading. Database programs take advantage of them.

Here is a pretty good article on different companies that have used them and the experience they had with them.

Zippy, you asked what VMWare is, I've reviewed it in cool software. I reviewed the workstation version, the server version is basically the same concept.
