Which router was created by mapena
Hi there,
I am looking for advise.
Last night my 3com OfficeConnect DSL die after 4 years.
I am planing to buy a new DLS/Router.
However I don't know which of them is much better the Cisco WRV200 or 3com wireless 11N cable/dsl firewall.
Any suggestions..........
Thanks,
Miguel

I haven't personally tried any of them. But it seams from user reviews that the WRV200 has numerous problems.

It's not clear why or how? it could be miss-usage too. So nothing for sure here.
On the other hand a quick google on the 3com 11n does not show any obvious reviews. However, as it supports the 802.11n (the new hopefully better protocol) it would be good for newer laptops in the coming years as they will probably support the .11n. It claims to reach speed of 300Mbps. But you'll not see that now if your laptop (or WLAN card) is not .11n compliant. But sure the 3com supports the older standards too at 54Mbps.
Overall, I think the 3com sounds more like it.

Hi S0lo,
Thanks for your review.
I had the same problem when i was checking wrv200 no very good reviews and 3com 11n none.
At the end I bought the 3com (75 £), I will see.... both have the same features (VLANs, IPSEC, .....)
Thanks again
