ask a cisco exam question! was created by gladiatorhw
of the eight network users on the Human Resources department LAN,one can not connect to the file server .the user'sPC has successfully booted but can not see the network?what should be checked first?
A:The PC power card
B:the file server
C:the pc network interface card leds1
the lan switch in the wiring closet
E:the configuration of the router interface attached to the lan
can any one really know this and explan for me?thanks for your time.

Option 'C' seems to be the correct answer to me.
A: No reason to check the PC Power card/supply cause the pc has successfully booted into the operating system.
B: Since the other workstation have logged in, we can rule the file server out!
This would be the next thing to check after the local workstation. Since the your at the workstation already, its much easier to check the network card, rather than walking to the wiring closet and checking the switch.
E: The question states this is a LAN and the file server must therefore be local. No reason to consider this as a valid answer.
