Once more it is a non specific question, no reason why or how, just want to know what would you do if you have to carry out preventative on a WAN-link, any WAN.
You just want to know a) is it working properly now, and b) is anything developing that might stop it working properly in the near future. You can answer both of these by looking at the stats the link is producing on a regular basis
