I am testing a new system in house and we would like to simulate downloads between locations. I have got a 1720 router and a 2524(oldie) to play with. They have 56K 4 wire cards in them. Is there a way to set up the configs and test in house? Any ideas are helpful

I haven't quite understood what exactly you are looking to simulate ? Just a continuous peak download ? why not just connect the two routers and provide each with one node, then start the download of a really large file between the two systems.
If youre just directly connecting them then there would be virtually no configuration required, just the appropriate IP addresses for each interface.
