Finding an IP through the MAC address?? was created by Stephanie
I have inherited an HP Jetdirect 170x print server, that supposedly has an IP assigned. How do I find out what it is? I know what the MAC address is, so if I connect it to my laptop can I use a tool or command to find out what the IP is?

Connect it to a printer and press the "Test" button. This should print out a config page with all the IP details.

A good tool to find what ip address are on the network is a app called LANGuard. After the scan, you can save the results in a html format that will provide all information on that particular network.
