I just want to know that can someone do unauthorized access to any pc by IP address or he has to know the username, password and port no., also to gain access to other pc. And by IP how someone access to other pc. Suppose the targeted computer is in another country so how can we access that computer through IP address. :D

If a machine is reachable across the network (be that local or the Internet) then you can access it if you know the relevant username/passord etc. It makes no difference whether you reach the machine by IP address or machine name; the network will resolve the name to the IP address anyway and you can easily find this out. If that same machine also has vulnerabilities you might also be able to 'crack' it even without these details. For example, suppose you have a Windows machine running a third-party FTP server that has vulnerabilities. If you know how, you can attack the FTP server and gain Administrator level access to all the files on the hard disk without ever having to resort to the Windows usernames or passwords

Protecting your PC
1. If you're running Windows or indeed any OS, make sure that all the latest security patches are installed.
2. For additional protection, run your PC/network behind a firewall. A lot of broadband routers usually have basic firewalls built in. These are a useful first line of defence in addition to any firewalls running on your PC.
3. Install Antivirus software
4. Use the internet intelligently i.e. be careful what sites you visit and which software you download and run on your PC. You may be inviting malware.

Remote Access
If the remote PC is running Windows XP Pro, you could use the built-in Remote Desktop application, or you could download free remote access software like VNC , or use third-party services such as GoToMyPc or LogMeIn .
