Wireless LAN problem was created by slayer
hi there! just need some help with wlan. we just installed a new linksys ap router in the office and it works fine with linksys network adapters (client). My problem comes when other vendors are used such as cisco, dlink, etc. PCs and laptops using these network adapters have a difficulty accessing the linksys ap router.
I was thinking that i may have not configured the ap router or maybe the wi-fi retailer is the culprit of this problem.
I appreciate any advise given. Thanks.

If you can get the Linksys units to talk, then it is probably something proprietary ... some wireless security/performance thingy that need disabling ! 'Super G', 'MIMO', and 'WPA2' are the rage .... the former being proprietary and the latter two assumed to be part of future wireless specs ... but it wouldn't harm to get all devices to a common config and check if it sparks
