As far as I know, Very high frequencies of electromagnetic waves can alter DNA structures, which inreases the chance of getting cancerous cells. Visble light frequencies are higher than all RF including UHF,VHF,wifi,GSM,WiMax .etc. Here: chemed.chem.purdue.edu/genchem/topicrevi...raphics/spectrum.gif
If we assume that RF is harmfull, sunlight would be much more harmfull. Sunlight is important for Vit D as you said, but too much of it is reported to be questionable in causing skin cancer.

Hehe...I know I get vitamin D from sunlight, but artificially generated radio wave could be Vitamin X, Y or Z
