Hi to all at Firewall.cx :D

I was wondering if I could have some advice?

I have two PC's sharing my ADSL connection using my Wireless ADSL Router as a Wireless Access Point.

I would like to share data between the two PC's, via the router, but can't seem to get it to work.

What am I doing wrong? Or am I loosing the plot ha ha :?

Hi Lex_Luthor
You should be able to do this with no problem.
Firstly, can you ping each machine from it's partner?
If you can then you have basic connectivity and there must be some other reason why it won't work.
I'm assuming you have Windows on the PCs. If one or both are XP, try turning off the built-in firewall and see if it works then.
Also, when you try to connect between machines do you get nothing at all, or do you get a dialogue asking for a username and password? If you get the latter then all you need is to set up suitable access permissions

Thanks mate.

It was me being an idiot ha ha.

A few months ago I used the second box to study for my ISA 2004 exam and forgot that I hadn't taken it off! No wonder I couldn't connect.

Thanks anyway.
