Aircrack Issues

hey guys,

i finally got my card to work with kismet and airodump on whoppix 2.7!! yayyy!!.(aircrack 2.1)

well my problem is, i captured about 82000 IVs(just for testing this out on my own wireless) and then i called aircrack with "./aircrack -n 128 test.cap" and then it spits out some jargon about how many IVs are in the file.

however, according to what ive seen in the "crack wep in ten minutes" video,(now almost unfindable!) aircrack should then show the cracking process take place. instead, it clears the screen BUT keeps running, and does not display anything. i let it run about 15 minutes to see if any thing changed, but it did not.

so my question is, is this normal? should i have captured more IVs for testing purposes(i know you need 400k for real attack)?.


btw, im running a rig with an DWL-G650 atheros cardbus
2.4 celeron
256 MB Ram
0 HDD space for whoppix,(i gotta get around to changing this...)
could my specs be the problem? does aircrack not work on celeron architecture?
