HI,
has anyone try to clone a harddisk of an IBM Thinkpad T41 model
with Norton Ghost and made the new harddisk bootable in the T41?
I've tried by Disk to Disk or partition to partition but the harddisk is always unbootbale in the T41.

Not sure about your thinkpad, but there are some Ghost options you could try. Have a go with the -ib and -id options (you can select these from 'options' in the GUI as well). These include off-partition data and boot sectors as well. Just a standard image/copy can miss these out which might be why your drive doesn't boot

Talking about HDD cloning ... is anyone aware of a program that will allow you to change the hdd's serial number ?
I have a hunch that it's impossible, but I thought i'd ask the question anyway !
