window vista not detecting usb flash drive, whenever i insert my usb flash drive it always ask 4 d river......what do i do?

you have not provided enough details (hard ware details)
i will list some common TS ,if you want you can try it,
try will some other USB drive,
if still OS is asking for usb drivers try with the repair option with the Vista Cd .
please let us know the updates on this issue .

Is this your official PC??? If yes, then flash media has been dissabled. Ask your system admin to enable it. If this is you home PC, then provide more details. Like what about other usb flash media?? Are they working??

it is not office pc.......it is personal laptop......the O/S is window vista is always asking 4 driver whenever i insert any usb flash drive may be 2 save somethin inside d flash drive or access d flash, but using usb printer cord its work perfectly.....reply

Now I understand that only the flash drives have been disabled. Rest all other USB will work perfect.
I think either you or someone else has disabled the flash drives. There is one more possibility that there is some problem with registry.
I have a software with me and I can send the same if provide me your mail id. I think (not sure) this will definitely resolve your problem.
