After searching online for more than 2 months, I have decided to go for "TravelMate 2492LMi". I think it will do me for my current educational purposes. I have couple of questions to ask of anyone who may have purchased this or a similar model.
Is it a reliable one and what other precautions do I need to take before going for this model. I shall be using Uni. CDs for computer programming applications such as Borland Java and Borland C++ editors & associated libraries. I will also have the usual software such as Access, Excell, Macrimedia Dreamweaver, Fireworks, etc.
I discovered an online company IT247.com offering a wide range of laptops around the same price range (£350), and intend to order it from them. If anyone has ordered anything from this company, are they reliable? and also do you think the specifications given on:

are good enough for the applications I listed above.
Any advice on the above will be very much appreciated...
