A Dought in RIP

Can i know why RIP header doesn't contain checksum field?

Hmmm.. I would imagine they will rely on checksums in the lower transport and network layer protocols.. that should be sufficient.

U are right.RIP works above UDP( a connectionless transport protocol)
which provides checksum to both of its header and payload portion(which is RIP).
