Router rip
network 10.0.0.0
!
you sure about this? cause when i done it in a lab the instructor told me you need to put in the network address of the networks connected to your network, its not going to be an ip address of one of the hosts but it is connected to the network in my example thorugh serial end ethernet? In my example i was not putting in that of a ip address on the network but the router serial and ethernet ip address'es cause rip only broadcasts updates on thses networks.

I want just to know the logic behind this :
So 10.1.1.1 is a class A network address so the default subnet is
255.0.0.0 which lead us to use 10.0.0.0 as network address.
is that correct ?
Actually me i use another logic : we have 10.1.1.1/24 so i used
"10.1.1. 0" as network ID and the last "1" as the host ID.
So 10.1.1.1 is a class A network address so the default subnet is
255.0.0.0 which lead us to use 10.0.0.0 as network address.
