Thanks for all the replies and thanks for making that point about the wording, mew. Although I must say I am a little more nervous now than I was 5 minutes ago. Those Cisco people don't play fair! ;)

LooseCannon,

"Which method represents a collection of IP addresses within a single IP address?" A. Classful routing B. Supernetting C. Address translation D. Route summarization.

My answer to your question would be D.

I will answer Route Summarization, Take note of the word "represents a collection" and "a single IP Address". If you chose Supernetting, MEW is correct that it is a numerical technique or process, how is it being represented?

Unlike Route Summarization, you represent the collection of IP Address. If you check the router summarization or log viewer, you would see that they will have a common IP Address, and that is the IP Address of the router.

It's true that you need to choose the best answer. Its tricky but you'll be able to see the fruit afterwards. You've got a point that the chapter focuses on this, take note that when you are ready to take your certification, you wouldn't see what chapter will the exam focus on, they will just give you sets of questions you need to answer. It will just be a pass and fail scenario.
