Hi, I've been using remote desktop on my windows xp sp2 pc at home to connect to the server at work for about 6 months with no problem, but lately i will connect to the server a couple of times at night, but when i try the nest morning i would get this error

"Terminal Services Warning: The terminal server has exceeded the maximum number of allowed connections.

Login Message: The system can not log you in; The system has reached its licensed logon limit; Consult your system administrator."
I havent changed anything on the server or client. The server is running windows 2000 server sp4.Is there a workaround this problem or should i use other software.

Thanks in Advance

Are you logging out... ?

Try using VNC, I find it better

We have that problem here. The Remote Access facility on the server supports a fixed number of concurrent incoming connections and if they are all busy then when you try to connect then you get the message you have seen. If somebody uses an RDC session to the server but just disconnects instead of logging off this leaves their session busy instead of clearing it down. On 2003 server you can have three concurrent sessions so it doesn't take long for a few slipshod operatives to hang them all up. If you have admin privileges there is a GUI tool you can install that will let you view the current in-use sessions and kill them off
