Please pardon my newbieness. I just got my first gig as an admin over a small commercial network. This network is a MESS!
Currently the network is running on a private 10.0.0.0 with a 255.255.255.0 subnet mask. There's only 25 nodes and they're all running on the broadcast subnet (10.0.0.1 - 10.0.0.xxx ... ) no routers or anything fancy going on here - It's really just a big file sharing workgroup.
Could running the network on the broadcast subnet be contributing to frequent database corruption and connectivity problems? I need to prioritize the work ahead of me...should I jump on re-assigning the IP addresses of this mess?
Thanks.
Perry.
