windows and gateway mtu question

hi lets say that in windows, my mtu is set as 1 , and my gateway the mtu is set as 2 ... which mtu will come into effect?because i've downloaded this tweaking program that is supposed to change the mtu setting, but theres an mtu setting already in the modem gateway...

Carmatic, you had asked exactly the same thing a month ago, here . If I didn't explain something well, please ask.
