A very strong understanding of:
Routing
Switching
Protocols
Basic server management
WAN connectivity
Network troubleshooting.
Basically a lot of what you see in the CCNA syllabus, and the MCSE Network Design exam (if they still have that one).

hello.. to answer that i think that a MCSE is most prepared to administrate a networking then a CCNA because in CCNA you will basic learning to programing the security about routers... but for the administration is much better a MCSE...
