Hi Guys.. Quick question.. I have a network.. on this network I have a subnet. We'll call it the Micromission subnet. I have a DC and Res server there. Everything goes through the patch panel and plugs into switchA. SwitchA plugs in to RouterA. Router A goes into a Delay box and the delay box into RouterB which I'm not exactly sure plugs into or goes, possibly to the outside.
My question is this. On subnet A where is my gateway? would it be SwitchA or RouterA?
Thanks..
G

Under normal circumstances , it woud be the router, ......switches work on layer 2. Check out if the switch happens to be a layer 3 one.??

Thanks guys..
I'm not sure which layer the switch is working on. I assume your refering to the OSI refrence model.. So your talking to about the datalink layer vs the network layer?
