I've seen Quality of Service brought up quite a few times recently and I'm wondering what does the network engineer have control over that can be used to shape/police the traffic on a network.
Essentially I know what Quality of Service is and what it's for I just haven't seen any of the actual mechanisms for administering it aside from setting one vlan up for voice and another for data.
What settings comprise QoS administration?
Maybe the question is to broad and if that is true I apologize but I'm just trying to attach the concept with the tools.
