Now that i'm really deep into CISCO networking, is it relevant that i also do the windows server 2003/2008 certification or can i work comfortably in a networking environment without knowing it.
I've also heard of people working with servers such as proliant G5 that runs on Linux platforms, do i need to familiarise myself with all these or what's your take on this?

When you can troubleshoot a network, it is also paramount to know how to troubleshoot the operating system most especially Windows. they go hand in hand. knowing both will give you an upper hand. These days Linux and Windows live side by side each other peacefully in most coporate networks, knowing how to operate on a Linux platform is a big plus too
