Hi, I'm working with a device where I'm sending out packets via mdns and looking for a response back. The particular host that I'm working with obviously does not fully implement multicast. I can see multicast question that go across the network, but I cannot receive responses.
The other problem is that the port that I'm sending to, is the same port that is opened up for sending, ie destation and source port are the same. So I cannot take advantage of legacy unicast fallback where a mdns responder would send back unicast if the destination and source port are not the same.
So I'm trying to figure out how to set the Unicast Response bit in my mdns packet that I'm sending out so the mdns responser will reply directly back to me. Can someone help me with this?
