How to find serial ip address was created by railfrog
Hi
I am a student at staffs uni.
I am enrolled in computer science, and have networking as my optional module.
I can do the sub netting bit and configuring routers, but there is something that is bugging me.
How do i find the serial ip address for the router, so i can connect two routers together.
I have got some weird and wonderful stuff set up in packet tracer, but cant get the pc's to talk to one another as they need to go through two routers.
Also need the knowledge to find the "ip route" of said routers.
Thanks

The command your looking for will be a 'show' command
show int serial0
Be sure to change the serial number to the appropriate number.
Variations you might see:
serial0
serial0/0
serial0/1
serial0/0/0
It all depends on the serial card installed.
To find the ip route you will also use a show command
show ip route
Review your show commands.

It would help if you post your packet tracer .pkt file so that we can see exactly whats going on. You can upload your file here:

I have managed to work out the Serial ip addresses.
All i need now is the "ip route" so the routers can talk to each other.
If you still need the packet tracer i will post it when i get back from work.
