Map physical layout of network was created by mikeees
Hello,
I want to know of any tools available that will allow me to map out the physical layout of a network. The goal of this would be for us to determine which office/location has the desktop in question.
We have one domain and subnet, SNMP and ICMP is disabled.
I've been looking at nmap and Cheops-ng. I am thinking that I will have to map the switches and determine which desktops are connected to those switches.
Any suggestions?
mike

Cheops should work perfectly for what you're trying to do.
Nmap is more for network discovery.. you wont get any graphical mapping...
