Cisco Serial Cabling Question was created by novembre
Hello,
I borrowed some old cisco equipment as I don't have much experience with serial / frame relay connections and I have time to study again. I want to connect a DB60 serial port (on a 2514) to a Smart Serial port (WIC-T2 on a 1721).
Ideally I would use a Female DB60 to a Female Smart Serial, but that will take time to special order. However I can immediately buy a Smart Serial Female to DB15 Male cable, then use a gender converter and connect to a DB15 Male to DB60 Female cable.
I was just wondering, before I buy this - does anyone know if it would it work and what are the implications for DCE/DTE or can I set that on the interface?
thanks!
