Hello pedenski,

The Generic AP in packet tracer works as a simple bridge (2 ports switch). One port is wired and the other is wireless. As far as I know, it does not have routing capabilities. On the other hand, the linksys wireless router is a fully equipped device similar to the ones you see in your home's ADSL modem/router that connects you to the internet.

Here is a simple example network file using the AP: www.2shared.com/file/6190181/30686b60/APex.html

I don't see any problem with the network you posted. But it seams the problem is in the PDU list. I recreated it and it works now. I can ping PC0 and PC1 from PC10. No problems at all. Try waiting a while until PC0 and PC1 get their IPs via DHCP. Fixed file here: www.2shared.com/file/6214146/3b3f1ff7/ap_fixed.html

No you don't need RIP in this case neither the static route line:

ip route 192.168.2.0 255.255.255.0 FastEthernet0/1

Because both networks are directly connected to the router, So route entries for both networks will automatically be inserted into the routing table of the router. By the way, you can ping using the PC's command prompt instead of the PDU list.
