Hi all,

i am new to networking. i want to know about DNS & DHCP concepts. can anyone give me some links to know these concepts better.

I've actually found Microsoft's built-in Help document on DNS to be the best DNS resource. It's extremely detailed, if that's what you're looking for. To get to it, first install DNS on your server and then go to the DNS MMC snap in, right-click the DNS server and choose "Setup a DNS server" or something like that and then a Wizard will come up with a "DNS Checklist" button. Click that and begin reading everything. It'll take you more than a day but you'll fully understand DNS and its integration with Active Directory when you're done.

I didn't do the same with DHCP, but reading a few Microsoft TechNet articles on DHCP helped me out.

Dear Ramach u are most welcomed to this site and to the field of networking (it could be challenging). do u knw how to use wikipedia online dictionary? if u do all u need to do is to type what u are looking for when the wikipedia site opens.. u can also look up quick terms on networking on www.computerhope.com

further more under the downloads tab on this site u see a drop down click on project.... pdf's then documents pdf's and more.....
