Sending packets to a Private IP behind dynamic NAT

Hi,

I have enabled a feature called NetFlow on a Cisco router. The feature allows NetFlow packets to be send to a certain IP Address using a certain port. I have configured my device to send NetFlow packets on port 9996 (UDP) to the server with static private IP Address. The router uses NAT dynamic and the packets do not reach the private IP. So, how will I go about sending the packets?
To the private IP Address itself and add a mapping in the dynamic NAT to allow packets on port 9996 to be sent to the server pvt IP?

Could you help me, please with this? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Don,

I think that this might benefit from a static nat translation; that way, you can keep the ip addresses on track.

Hi UB,

Thanks for the suggestion. But what happens in case its not possible to use static NAT and dynamic NAT is the only option? any possible solutions?

Don

Can you post a diagram and maybe some config, Don?

Hi,
Iam sorry about that. I do not have any info on the configuration or the diagram as this was a question sent to me. It seems the router sending the 9996 UDP packets is where the dynamic NAT happens.

Don
