switch interfaces was created by ssbs
once i go through with my ccnp preparation i found this command in the book.
switch(config)#interface fastethernet 1/2/24
In this 2 is the module number
24 is the port number
What is the 1?

Elohim, isn't the "slot" the 2 here?
As far I as can remember from my CCNA, 1 is called the "plane" number here. I might be confused.

On cisco devices that support port-adapters, cisco uses x/y/z to denote interface references, where x = slot, y = port adapter, and z = port.
Elohim, isn't the "slot" the 2 here?
As far I as can remember from my CCNA, 1 is called the "plane" number here. I might be confused.
