TCP/IP encapsulation: protocol footer was created by ampranti
Hi all,
i was using ethereal to see what actually happens with TCP/IP encapsulation.
Documentation says that IP protocol has an IP footer and is positioned just after the data received from upper layer (TCP here).
How does IP footer appears in ethereal? (hex view)
if i select a captured packet and the "internet protocol" then only header is marked.... Also no bytes remain after TCP segment data....
Where is the footer? Or there is no footer?
Thanks
